A subdomain is part of top level domain as shown above.

Subdomains are used to boost your website and rank higher in google.It also helps you to create as many as number of subdomains and get your quality backlinks to your website without commenting on others website.
3)Difference between domain & subdomain
A domain is main name and it is simple as www.example.com
While subdomain is subset of main domain and it looks as demo.example.com

How to create sundomain in godaddy
Important note: You must create a new blog before creating a subdomain for your main site. I already told that subdomains are considered as new websites.
Step 1
Login to your Godaddy account.
Step 2
Then go to manage my domains which is present at your account section.
Step 3
Now select the domain and explore Manage Dns which you want to create subdomain as seen below.
Step 4
Now you will see DNS Management of your domain.navigate to bottom of page there you will be seen subdomain panel.
Step 5
After clicking on ADD button enter subdomain name and url of your already created blog.It is shown below.
Important note: You must have or create a new blog on any free hosting site before creating a subdomain for your main site. I already told that subdomains are considered as new websites.
You have done now go to blogger settings and forward your domain to a newly created blog.
